Carrie Madarang

Carrie Madarang is a multitalented Alameda creative whose work lives at the intersection of ritual, artistry, and community care. At Alameda Gallery & Collective, Carrie shares her creative practice through handcrafted potion bottles and spell jars, intention-based pieces designed to support grounding, clarity, love, protection, and reflection.

Each piece is thoughtfully assembled with meaning and mindfulness. Carrie’s work invites a pause, offering symbolic objects that support intention-setting and personal ritual without pretense or superstition.

Carrie also hosts hands-on workshops and classes, guiding participants through the creation of their own spell jars and intentional objects. These gatherings are accessible, welcoming, and rooted in connection, equal parts creative practice and community experience.

Beyond the gallery, Carrie’s life blends public service and creative expression. By day, she works for the City of Alameda and supports The Fireside Lounge in the evenings. She is also known throughout the community as DJ Kiwi, curating soulful, high-vibe playlists for yacht clubs, reunions, markets, themed events, and intimate celebrations. As a wedding officiant, she crafts spiritual-but-not-stuffy ceremonies grounded in authenticity, love, and presence.

A proud mother and natural host, Carrie is known for showing up fully, with intention, laughter, and an uncanny ability to make people feel instantly welcome. Whether she’s creating ritual objects, blending beats, or building community, Carrie brings care, creativity, and connection into everything she does.
