Eric Reed

Tattoo Artist · Fine Artist · Creator

Eric Reed is a Bay Area tattoo artist and lifelong creator whose work blends punk and skate culture, surf energy, cosmic symbolism, and the raw beauty of the natural world. With over 33 years of tattooing experience, Eric’s style is bold, intuitive, and deeply rooted in storytelling through line, color, and movement.

Eric is the owner of Alameda Tattoo and Punk and Bunny Tattoo, and his creative reach extends far beyond the tattoo shop. His artwork has appeared on album covers and band projects for artists including AFI, Electric Frankenstein, and Reverend Horton Heat, as well as on custom cars, flame jobs, and hand-painted graphics across the kustom culture scene.

His fine art — often created using recycled and unconventional materials — has been shown in galleries throughout San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and beyond. Every piece is drawn or painted by Eric himself, carrying the same spirit that defines his tattooing: honest, hands-on, and made with intention.

Eric is partnered with Danica Leigh Reed and is a devoted father to Dezi, grounding his creative life in family, love, and community. At Alameda Gallery & Collective, we’re honored to share his work as part of a creative ecosystem that values lived experience, craft, and art that tells a real story.
