Hi, I’m Johnny Dismal how are you?    

I’m a Masshole that grew up in Europe as a kid before moving to Massachusetts.  I graduated with a BFA in illustration at  Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester New York.   Soon after college, March of 2000,  I ditched my band to move to SF because I really liked the music that was coming out of the City. (My friends eventuality followed me to the Bay). In the last 25 years I’ve made over 5,000 pieces of art, for bands, movie stars and directors. I designed a shit ton of posters for bands and clubs, record covers, shirts and then some.   My themes and styles very, form pop culture to scary shit. One thing I tried to keep true to is humor.  As of now I make art living in Oakland, where I like painting shit that makes me laugh.  One of the things I stand by and am most proud of are my prices.  I rather you be able to afford to hang my hilarious art in your place over me getting rich off my art.  I can’t take the money to my grave.  Well, I can, but then someone will just dig me up and rob me.  That’s not fun.  Thanks for looking at my shit.
