Terry Telles

Terry Telles is a Bay Area artist whose work reflects decades of creative practice rooted in rhythm, symbolism, and community. Originally from Oakland and long connected to the Alameda art scene, Terry studied art at Laney College, where he developed his foundation while working alongside local artists who helped shape his path.

Terry is best known for his mandala paintings, intricate works that explore balance, repetition, and spiritual presence. His art often draws inspiration from music, movement, and cultural expression, inviting viewers into a meditative visual experience. Over the years, his creative practice has continued to evolve, expanding into new visual explorations while remaining grounded in intention and craft.

His work has been widely exhibited throughout Alameda and the greater Bay Area, including shows with the Alameda Art Association, Alameda Art Center, and Frank Bette Center for the Arts, as well as local venues such as Javarama Coffee House, the Alameda Library, and neighborhood galleries and festivals. Terry’s art has also been featured in community events and regional art festivals, and his work is held in private collections.

At Alameda Gallery & Collective, Terry’s work is part of our rotating artist offerings, celebrating his deep roots in the local art community and his commitment to creating meaningful, visually rich work that resonates with a wide audience.
